Default [OT] Slashdot article about Flame Wars - 02-13-2006 , 10:42 AM

Since misunderstandings in Newsgroups abound (um yes, even in CDP)...and
sometimes continue ad nauseum, this article might enlighten. Then again...

I don't know about you, but I think it would be best if I actually posted
the link to the article!

Sheesh, links with no description, descriptions with no links. Take
it easy on us man, some of us aren't used to this much excitement.

Anyway, that article was very interesting and very true. I think the
reason I write such verbose postings is to try to head off the
inevitable "what do you mean?" responses that follow the unqualified
one-off comments.

The comments to that article so far are also interesting and/or funny
- except for the anonymous idiot who posted an unsubscribe request as
the comment to an article. I really support the idea of having a
driver's license for the information superhighway...

I don't know Tony. Would you have age limits too.
And we have certain folks that would require a
breath (or blood) test at times. (Hi Dan). Plus
have you seen the way most of us drive . It could
get awfully lonely for you (and perhaps a few others)

I could be wrong, but it would be the 1st, no 2nd,
make that 3rd..... (never mind the count).

Patrick, <:=)

And that *still* doesn't stop you from being misinterpreted! <g>

While I don't agree with everything said in the article, there is a lot I do
agree with. The evidence abounds all around us!

It's food for thought.
