Default [OT] *shrugs and throws hands in the air* - 01-16-2006 , 04:44 PM

<rolls eyes>
Human nature is fascinating! In reading several (and in one thread it is
s-e-v-e-r-a-l !) posts on various topics germane and not-so-germane to this
group and some off topic posts by yours truly, it amazes me how easily
*mature* individuals can get "bent out of shape"! These posts have nothing
in the way of earth-shattering content. Some posts (like mine) have no value
whatsoever, except maybe to turn up the corners of the mouth once in a
while. Ok, once an eon I actually post something helpful! *grin* But my
point is, what does it really matter in the long run and aren't we mature
enough (since the average age of group participants has got to be around my
own age, if not a little older) and have enough life experience to not sweat
the small stuff? As Tony, Glen and others post, YMMV...we all see the same
subject/topic through different eyes/perspectives.

So really, why am I making this post? Isn't this evidence that I'm a little
"bent out of shape"?

No. It's just an observation I wanted to share...maybe a reality (no, not
Northgate's Reality!) check as well.

YMMV
</rolls eyes>
<addendum>
Even in spite or maybe because of the posts I spoke about above, I
thoroughly enjoy reading CDP!

Don't let me deter you. Keep on posting (like I'd really be able to stop
anyone anyway)!
*huge grin*
</addendum>

-Bruce

Any bets on how long it takes for someone to complain about the 3D Tek
Job Update posts?

Joe

I think we ought to demand to know why they didn't post this
http://tinyurl.com/924df here!!! OK - so the requirement ostensibly had
nothing to do with Pick, but that's no excuse! Agencies - humph!

;-0

Btw Bruce - have you been spent much time in France lately? Just a
first thought when I saw the subject-line.

Mike.

I wouldn't mind them if they mentioned the location in the header,
rather than me having to open the message to find out that my commute
time to any of these jobs would be GE 10 hours.

No. Never been to France. I did some work for a client in Toronto though.
Does that count?

Something about the written word that causes this. I'm sure that
none of the comments that got people bent would have had that same
effect if made f2f in rl (face-to-face in real life.)

But, that said, I enjoy a nice flamewar as much as the next guy!

I always find off-topic or meandering discussions useful to "personalise"
the commincation between a closed group.. It tends to bring human
personalities to people and update them from boring "techy" posts.

I guess it's what puts the "community" spirit into an "online community".

Certainly, whilst I take part in many of these discussions, I dont' take or
mean any offense. I hope that none is ever taken by anybody else from what
I write...

And if they have so many jobs to post, why not put them all into a
single post?
