[ot] McAfee Dodgy deal -

I got caught today with a $99.95 charge on my credit card from McAfee.
It turns out that some "clever" Lawyer has buried an automatic renewal
acceptance in the middle of a sentence in the middle of the EULA. One
has to logon to one's account and buried in the middle there is an off
switch.
This comes without warning a month before the renewal is due ie 30
days in advance which represents rather fascinating "credit" terms.
Of course getting the charge reversed is exceptionally difficult.
To add insult to injury this charge is significantly more than the
current cost of the product. No doubt there is another clause
somewhere that says they can charge what they like when they like.
Be warned
