Default MVBASE error - 09-14-2005 , 08:34 AM

I start getting connection refused when people are connecting to my
MV-Base server, everything looks fine, but when I look in the "windows"
aplication log I have a nice RED X error and inside I have this.

ConnectLine() failed. Server: MVBASE, Line: 20. Error code is 6.
[mvworkst.dll, 0088, protege.c, 359].

The only fix is to reboot the system, and then everything is fine for
awhile.

Any ideas on how to fix this and what it actually is.

Hi Shaun,

Can you specify which version of mvBASE 1.3.01 or 1.3.02 or 2. Also which
patch set.?

Which version of windows?

Are your clients using mvTERM or a Telnet product?

Do you use AUTO-LOGOFF/AUTO-DISCONNECT for lines that get dropped?

Do a LISTLINES command to see what is supposedly connected to each line.

Compare this with a LISTU to check who is logged on. If your lines
haven't been dropped, there may be a problem.

Have you set the @LOST.DTR command to logoff any process where the line
is dropped without logging off?

Hi Shaun,

Unless you are running mvBASE 2.0, mvBASE ( 1.3.x) is not certified for Win
2000 server or above to run as a service

I believe you get some kind of winsock errors unless using version 2.0
