I'll give them all a try. I'm glad there's a place for all of us wimps to
get edumacated. Love good ol' Basic, avoid these silly dict items like the
plague whenever possible. Perhaps that's backwards thinking, which should
make me an expert in reverse polish notation.....

We're taking data and exporting to MySQL via Tab-delimited LIST output, and
the client needs the dates in the format given, otherwise I much prefer D4/
myself.

No worries about Universe, we have our hands full enough with the flavors we
use already. Probably be 234 years till we would consider converting, and I
doubt it would be my decision. #:*)>

Thanks to all!

Subject: More Date Formatting questions

Appreciate all the help last time - I've got an illegal A correlative that
I need to somehow make legal. (D3 NT/Linux) Here's what I'm trying to do,
which is obviously failing miserably:

A;0(T1,5)(D4/)(G2/1):"-"0(D4/)(G0/1)):"-"0(D4/)(G1/1))

The file ID is a system(19), and I'm trying to extract the date and
convert it to YYYY-MM-DD format.

Thanks in advance!

Just curious Jeremy,
It worked on my Universe (pick flavor) account.
What system are you on?

That doesnt work for me I get
[168] illegal a-correlative.: 'A;(0(T1,5)(D4/)(G2/1)):"-"0(T1,5)(D4-)
(G0-2))'

However
A;0(T1,5]D4/]G2/1):"-":0(T1,5]D4-U]G0-2)
works and doesnt require your system to be set for US dates.

Scott - more parens - less parameters - minor corrections:

A;(0(T1,5)(D4/)(G2/1)):"-"0(T1,5)(D4-)(G0-2))
