Marking Lit backing up response to Tony -

I decided not to put this in the previous thread regarding Tony's soul
searching because it is blatantly marketing literature (even if not my
own advertising), plus I thought it would be good to break up the
posts by Dan, who apparently is off the wagon.
While I have and would recommend SQL Server for some customers and
MySQL (and possibly PostgreSQL) for others, my honest assessment is
that Cache' has advantages over these tools PLUS it works for MV
folks.
Here is a well-done technical marketing piece, I think.

I prefer reading this version of it (which can also be printed more
handily):

I think this qualifies as a DBMS that isn't part of the "legacy RDBMS"
crowd and, let's be honest, stems from the pre-relational era, that
has kept current, is not saddled with SQL as the only means of
accessing data (so it is NoSQL if No stands for Not only) and is
marketing widely. In no way would I think I was doing a company a
disservice if I aimed them in this direction. Would you? --dawn |
