Default Kodak Imagelink - Index Management System - question - 11-08-2006 , 11:16 AM

I'm working on this ADDS Mentor 3.0 system running the Kodak Imagelink
- Index Management System application. Using Accuterm FTD, I was able
to export the "MASTER" data file to my pc, and it seems to contain all
the fields I need but the Date field is in a numeric format that I
don't understand. Or, it's not really the date field at all. Below,
I've shown an example of the data I exported, and a screen capture of
text within the Imagelink app:

roll-Frame check vendor date
80-459.0 9000 40420 6389 (file export)
80-459.0 9000 40420 06-28-85 (screen capture)

Can anyone tell me; is there a conversion factor for the date field?
Or is this not really the date field at...but then where is the date
stored for entries? Thanks for any assistance.

Rodd

This is the normal internal date representation. It is the number of
integer days since 12-31-1967 (= date 0). FTD knows about file
dictionaries; if you export fields by their name instead of their
attribute number, I think it will convert for you.

Thanks Scott...I presumed it was an integer but did not know the start
date, since it's not based on the Unix time stamp (epoch = 1/1/1970).
Appreciate your help!
