You may be right but then Maverick seems to be moving again and it IS open

IMO, Maverick is too little too late. The bounus for them was
cross-platform ability via Java, but OpenQM is already running on all
the major platforms most anyone would want. However, it is only the
Linux version of QM that is open source.
