I like the idea of "progressive unfolding". Many years ago when I
released the last version of my programmer's stacker, I embedded a
tutorial directly in the code that would walk new users through the
most useful features. I of course, have no idea how many people
actually downloaded the code as I didn't setup a nifty "Buy this code
for a penny" button to track it. I was'nt nearly as clever back then
as I am today, and Google Checkout didn't exist, but anywho....
Herb I have tried to get Dan to update that web page for years. It's
a mess

Java java java java (shut up!!) and weird tiny fonts and so
on. If they took over Dave's routines, it's news to me. Too bad he
didn't just expose them all on the net when he retired.
I almost left that mvToolbox page because the first PowerPoint
presentation fails when a message that it's corrupt or not a
powerpoint file at all. The Technical one however opened on my system
so I could see the main features. I think he spends way too much time
discussing the list processing features which seem um.... not that
useful personally. I would have focused on the editing and the diff
screen parts more. Those are universally required.
