Hi,

I would also be interested in a routine like that.

Thanks

As much as I would like to look at not using JET the Customer is very
reluctant to change anything
So your input is very much appreciated.
Many thanks Scott

The version of Jet that runs on 7.4.0 works fine on 7.4.2. At one site
running RHEL3 I am using the 'jet.abs' version (i.e. you must exec
jet, jet.abs, before jet works); at another running RHEL4 I have the jet
abs included in dm,abs,. Both work without problems.

I know there is a version 2.0Q that runs on D3/Linux 7.4.0 but I am
unsure
if it runs on 7.4.2
I have tried to contact Dan Cheddar but the email was return address
unknown
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Many thanks

Alan-

I had to do a similar transition during a port for an ADDS/mvBase app to
D3 about 4-5 years ago. The basic word processing features of JET were
used to enter and edit notes in the application. I wrote a simple word
processor in BASIC that mimicked the functionality, but without the bells
and whistles. I can try to dig it up if you're interested...wasn't exactly
feature-rich but it worked.

Also, I would recommend a shout out to 'frosty' as a subject line in this
group, as I believe he may know a thing or two about JET... ;-)

Many thanks for your interest.
If you can dig up the code it would definitely be of help as a long term
solution, as their document is nothing fancy.
Again many thanks
