Default Ideas on Return Stack entries after a system exception error - 11-09-2011 , 09:30 AM

Hi all,

I am running D3/NT 7.5.6.

I can run the 'problem' program forever without an abort. My D3
system server sits on my local LAN. All users connect using Wintegrate
as a front end.

I asked a remote user to log in and try the system to check if
the database which I merged onto our main server was working
correctly.

He has experienced the error : "System exception, entering the
Monitor Debugger".
Luckily it only freezes his port temporarily.

The SYSTEM-ERRORS log shows the following Return Stack
contents :

OPEN_LOW: 000
DB_REST_SCB:000
DB_GETSTACK:000
DB_REGSTK:000
DB_LOGERR_GETR:000
DB_PMSG:000
DB_ENTER:000

I'm not sure where to start looking but I would appreciate
anyone's thoughts on why this could be happening. By the way, when he
errors out and I tandem to his port and go back to the main menu, the
program will work fine until he logs off and back on..

Thanks,

Niall

Niall,

What is the connection mechanism for the "remote user"?

Hi Steve,

My remote user comes in via an internal VPN using TCP/IP. He is
allocated a fixed D3 port number on our local server.

Regards,

Niall
