* Authorization for UniVerse 10.2

Authorization for UniVerse 10.2 is now a 2-step process. Enter the
serial number, expiry date, number of users, plus the UV/Net and/or
device licensing count that also may have been purchased in addition to
standard UniVerse users. Once entered, a configuration code is
produced. Log on to the 'Authorize products' page of the U2TechConnect
Website and enter the UniVerse serial number, version, and the
configuration code to obtain the authorization key. Enter the
authorization key provided in the appropriate field of the UniVerse
license screen to complete the process. It may be necessary to stop and
restart UniVerse for the license changes to take affect.

Highlighting U2 Success

* Entrinsik Informer, Datatel & Carson-Newman College

Challenge
Carson-Newman, a four-year college with an enrollment of 2,200
students, needed to deploy a Reporting Solution to support their new
back office implementation of Datatel, an ERP system built on UniData
designed to manage operational needs. IT Staff required a Reporting
Solution able to satisfy and exceed the needs and expectations of
eventual report consumers- one providing fast, secure access to
real-time information.

Success
The IT Staff at Carson-Newman installed and deployed Informer within
days of the purchase and began campus-wide rollout in the summer of
2005. Individual departments trained power-users to assist
implementation, minimizing the time required of technical staff to
assist in authoring reports and training end-users. Carson-Newman
continues to find ways Informer can help get data into the hands of
decision makers in a format they can understand.

IBM U2 Organizational Changes
* Alan Grady has been named Vice President, Software Maintenance,
reporting to Kristof Kloeckner, Vice President, Strategy and Technology
for Software Group (SWG).
* Susie Siegesmund, Director, U2 Data Services, will now report to
Arvind Krishna, Vice President, Data Servers and Worldwide Information
Management Development for SWG. The rest of the U2 organization will
remain the same.
