Default Fault type is 11. Layer type is Query .in Universe. - 07-19-2006 , 06:14 AM

We have come across the following error in AIX/universe 10.0

'CRITICAL ERROR! Notify the system administrator.
Abnormal termination of UniVerse
Fault type is 11. Layer type is Query' .

When we searched for solutions, we have come across a solution that
at the UNIX level there is a setting for shared segments (SHMSEG).
This setting is said to be needful to be at least one increment higher
than the
highest number of users you have licenses for.

when we searched for this/type of command/utility in AIX, it is not
found. Can anybody help in getting the right solution for AIX.

Fault type 11 can be mapped to Unix errno, in this case 11 is a segment
violation.
The layer type is 'Query', so intial guess is there is issue with a
query somewhere
on the system.

In short...

To get any sort of meaningfull feedback, you would need to supply a
detailed
problem description on what the system (or user) was doing when the
error occured.
