Default Detecting mvTerm or Telnet client on mvBase - 01-22-2006 , 02:16 PM

Hi, is there a way of detecting whether the user's teminal session is
running under mvTerm?

I want a way of knowing whether it's mvTerm as opposed to a Telnet sesssion.

Thanks.

Try using USYSTEM(10). This function should return a value of 5 if the
client is mvTerm. Other values:

0 phantom
2 COM port
5 mvTerm
7 Telnet

Look up USYSTEM in the online help, and try the USYSTEM program in the
DEMO account.

Cheers,

Thanks for that - exactly what I wanted.
