Default DATE TIME SETTING SBS 2003 - 02-20-2006 , 05:46 AM

Hello,

We have a server running SBS 2003 with D3 7.3.2 Since a few days we cannot
enter the date in dd/mm/yy format.
The mm/dd/yy is no problem. When entering the command set-date we get the
message that this command is not supported...

Please help
Thanx

Have you tried SET-DATE-EUR ?

Hi
I believe that D3 only accepts the time change from the normal Windows
routine. Also SET-DATE-EUR puts it into the proper format and would
normally be used in your coldstart or user logon.

Paul, I don't understand why something just suddenly happened with no
warning. Maybe this info helps:

set-date hasn't been supported in D3NT since 1998. This isn't
anything new.

set-date-eur is a verb to change the date to the dd/mm/yy format.
set-date-std changes it to mm/d/yy.

The dm,md, system-coldstart macro includes set-date-std.
Your dm,md, user-coldstart should include set-date-eur, or if there
are functions performed in system-coldstart itself where date logging
format is important then you'll want to modify system-coldstart.

The system-coldstart macro is updated whenever you update D3, so if
you do make changes there, be prepared for your defaults to be reset
after an upgrade. Put ALL site-specific changes in user-coldstart.

The set-date-zzz verbs affect users system-wide. I believe I filed an
action item many years ago that asked for a set-date-zzz option which
makes the setting specific to a user, port, or account. This is
because some telnet/web users want to see dates in their own localized
format rather than the format set for the server locale. I don't know
if this was ever implemented.

Does any of that help?

Good luck.
Tony
