Hello Bob Just as a quick check, KDE Console has its own settings and one of them is how the BACKSPACE is referenced. I had the same problem when using this key, but if you go into the settings you can click a TAG which allows BACKSPACE to work one of 2 ways. This may fix your problem John Hi John, |

Hi, My question has to do with the backspace character in D3. I use KDE's Konsole to login and work on our D3/AIX system. When I am editing a file item with vi(m), my backspace key will just echo ^? . Running stty -a from TCL shows my backspace key is set to ^H . If I exit to AIX, stty -a shows my backspace is ^? . If I set my backspace char to ^H (stty erase ^H) it does not carry through to D3. D3 seems to have it's own way of setting the backspace character. I am unsure what to change in D3 to insure I get a backspace character that will match my AIX setting. The answer should be obvious to me but somehow it aint. What should I look at? Thanks, |
