I created a new printer in AIX pointing to a network device. I created a new printer in D3 using STARTSHP 48,48,1,S48,lp.unix,(lpr -P autobag -s -h) When I send a job to printer 48 nothing happens. I check LISTPEQS nothing there, I check lpstat in AIX and it shows nothing. I kill the printer with SP-KILL D48 and suddenly the job appears in AIX and goes to the printer. Ideas? Marshall |

Never mind, I figured it out. The 'End of Job' line in the devices files had been changed to have \xff on either end of the string. Took that off and started the printer, and bingo! All works fine now. Marshall Marshall wrote: I created a new printer in AIX pointing to a network device.
