Was wondering if anyone else had hit this problem. A client of mine had a
workstation die so he went a purchased a no frills Compaq for about $400 (I
know you get what you pay for). The old machine was a Win 98 machine and of
course the new one is a Win XP Home edition. The system did print to the
attached printer over the network. Initially, the system did not even see
the printer (or any shared resources on the XP machine). After talking to
RD support we upgraded to Proplus 7.3 (from 7.2) which solved the problem of
being able to see the shared resources (both in PRINTER-SETUP and
REMOTE-FILE-SETUP). The system will create the printer and mount the remote
file but neither will function. Any ideas?
