Default D3/NT Privileged opcode abort (sockets) - 02-09-2006 , 04:52 PM

Hi. I am having trouble porting my socket-based utility over from
D3/Linux to D3/NT. Whilst trying to access any of the socket
(C-language) routines I keep getting privileged opcode aborts.

I encountered this around six years ago when first working on this stuff
but have forgotten the reason. Can anyone please suggest a way forward?

The code works fine in D3/Linux and has been recompiled on D3/NT without
flash. I have tried running the account both in the FSI and in the VME.

Thanks in advance.

John

What happens WITH flash? I know we recently had to change some code to
use c%functions to work around a VME/OSFI memory leak and we HAD to
flash compile

I agree with Ross. I believe the C functions ONLY work with Flashed Basic.

Thanks Ross and Mark - that did the trick.
