Is it possible to install D3 Linux on Ubuntu? I have a development
system that was just set up with Ubuntu 6.06 LTS for some web
development projects. It would be convienent to have a copy of D3
installed for comparing programs and functionality. This would not be
for a production system, just for testing.

I will probably add OpenQM as well to use in porting my D3 software to
OpenQM, but it would be nice to have D3 running on the same machine for
comparison.

Well, I'm using Ubuntu because this system is more of a development
desktop and it is nice to have all of the server components available
to make it a portable development environment. I won't always have
access to the production servers and, if I break something in testing,
I won't crash the production servers.
