I understand what you're saying Ross but I think most support
companies are savvy enough to know they shouldn't use vmWare as an
excuse to close a call. As Nick said, it vmWare works fine and
obviously has a full set of drivers to support RHEL. Some application
like D3 shouldn't be _that_ sensitive if all of the underpinnings are
properly in place.
I used to use vmWare for demos when I was at RD, courtesy of vmWare
themselves because one of their VP's was an old Pick guy. Wasn't
everyone at some point even if they don't admit it?

These days I
use Virtual PC because it comes with MSDN. RD has never given me
grief about it.
