Is there a way to inhibit the creation of indexes on attributes that are
null? I have a file where about 50% of the indexed attributes are null.

Not that I know of, although if you look inside the verify index program
you'll find some code that will, when incorporated correctly into a small
program of your own, allow you to remove the null keys.
