Hello

I try to install D3 on a HP DL145 G2 Server with two amd Opteron 2GHz
Prozessors and 1GB RAM. The OS is RH ES 3.0 and the D3 Version is 7.4.2.

D3 installs ok, but with the SMP-Kernel it can't connect to the Phantom
processes. With a Uniprocessor Kernel there is no problem.

Have anyone any ideas?

I have found numerous "issues" with 7.4.2 on SMP machines (eg: tandem
will hang the machine if your process is on CPU0, and you tandem to a
process on CPU1

Have also had issues with phantoms ..... but bthese have been largely
resolved now.

Mae sure you gt the latest A190 & M8 monitor patches from the website -
worked for us May as well get the latest flash version as well!

I wouldn't think AMD's would be a problem, but systems we have
installed have all been P IV, so there MIGHT be something there

Here we have a Dual Xeon Server (HT disabled) with RH AS3 and 7.4.2 and
many users. this machine runs without problems, so my first opinion was
that was a problem with Opteron Architecture.
