If you didn't create the program files as directories then you will needa jBase server to get at them.

That's a great application for a web service, if only there were
demand:
- Enter an email address and CC payment info
- Select the DBMS platform
- Upload a single hashed file
- Click Convert
- Email is returned with a link to a compressed folder of text files

Pay by the MB or maybe by the number of items returned.

That gave me an idea. The file, as it is, only has 6 lines in it. I'm
going to try to see what happens if I convert the @AM to CR-LF.
Thanks.

I take that back. When I open the file with a program to read line by
line, I see 6 lines. When I open it in vim, there are nearly 17000
lines.

I do see the first few characters are "JBC___HS3". Would that mean
the file was created as a file type 3? If so, and I create a file
type 3 in UniVerse and replace it with this, would that help? If not,
it looks like I'll have to install the trial version of jBASE.

Will there be an issue with opening a file in jBASE version 4 or 5 if
it was created with version 3?

Err, didn't I post that idea yesterday?

Yes, jBASE type 3.

No. jBASE is not related to Universe.

That would likely work out ok.

JBC_HS3 is not a jBASE version number. It is a file type. I believe
versions 4 and 5 of jBASE can deal with this jBASE file type.
