Default COM Interface in FlashBASIC - 09-14-2006 , 06:19 PM

According to Books Online, D3 7.4 includes C functions for manipulating COM
objects within FlashBASIC. However, attempting to compile the sample code
failed with "C Function is not defined". The c functions are apparently
defined in the item MESSAGES FSICLI.BUILTIN, however on our installation
they were not. Did Raining Data decide to disable them for some reason? Has
anybody been able to use them?

Hi
First of all are you using NT or Linux. FSIBUILTIN sounds like NT, in which
case upgrade to 7.5. Then you will need to pickup the includes which just
to make life interesting are called unix so you have DM,BP,UNIX.H FCNTL.H as
a standard. There are other things in that file but be cautious because not
all work in NT. The new documentation can be a guide but it is quite
confused as to what is and is not NT.
BRIZ has a great set of COM objects that do work in D3
