Default Can't install D3/NT ODBC client driver in XP Home - 05-17-2005 , 05:29 PM

Hi all!

I'm trying to install the C27 ODBC client drivers on my XP Home system,
and after the install, I'm not seeing the D3 ODBC entry in the list of
available Datasources...it says the install was successful, but the
datasource doesn't show up when I go to ADD it.

I found a few postings about unregistering and re-registering the
d3clodbc.dll file, and that hasn't helped either...

A reboot didn't help either.

I do have the MSVB50.DLL and MSVB60.DLL files in system32 so that's not
the problem...and I've also re-registered those just in case.

Any ideas? I've gotten C27 to work fine on a Win2000 system, so it must
be something with XP

Thanks much!

-Greg

I had no problems installing it under XP Pro, so it could be a Home
specific problem. I'd check the KB on Microsoft's support site for ODBC driver
related install problems.
