Hehe, hey Steven - you do realize that posting to a public forum with
your domain is just asking for spam to sales@, webmaster@, support@,
etc? If you're going to munge, munge like a madman!

Tony,

Darn!!! I had just changed by "Sent From" and "reply to" for this
group to spamtrap (AT) laner (DOT) com when it was pointed out to me (by
you, I think) that I hadn't removed them from the hidden headers
of my posts! Let me know if this .sig meets with your approval (other
than the fact that it's getting LOTS longer than I like to see in a
..sig!)

Also, are you planning on being at Zumapalooza? (Question directed
at group, not just Tony!)

Note: actual job titles removed from signature because
harvested, prepended to our domain and used to generate
spam!

All text below left unsnipped. I think you missed my point. By
publishing your nospammieslanier.com domain you're inviting spammers
to spam your company domain. Do what you want, I'm no spam police.

Tony,

I'm not considering you as spam police. I'm blatantly using you as a
second set of eyes to double check my anti-spam protections.

Since our mailserver has a spamtrap feature, where ANY email with ANY
address that is the spamtrap address is ignored (and the email
submitted to our bayesian anti-spam learning system) the purpose is to
actually receive AND IDENTIFY AS SPAM any email sent by a harvester.
After the first one, any further similar emails sent to anyone on the
system will be marked as spam, we already reject mail to unknown
users, and with a website for retail sales, our domain is already well
established in spamspace, especially with the large numbers of home
users who have purchased using our website, received our automatic
order process emails, landing right on machines that are already
infected.

It's my intention to start using the spamtrap (AT) laner (DOT) com (or other
address that I may DEFINE as spamtraps) on all posts to lists, your
feedback has helped me debug both my .sig and the headers that my
newsreader and email client don't easily show me!

Thanks,

Steven J Dorst
