Default BlueFinity Announces mv.NET for IBM U2 - 01-24-2007 , 10:16 AM

BlueFinity Announces mv.NET for IBM U2

London, UK - January 22, 2007 - BlueFinity International Limited today
announced an agreement with IBM that will allow IBM to market and sell
BlueFinity's flagship product, mv.NET.

Under the agreement, IBM will develop, market and sell an IBM version
of mv.NET through its sales force, as well as offer the product through
its widely established network of VARs and OEM partners. The agreement
enables IBM to receive mv.NET source code for integration with its
UniData and UniVerse (U2) data server environments, develop an IBM
version of the product, and fully support its customer base.

"Customers will immediately benefit from our ability to leverage
mv.NET technology to deliver a tool that will facilitate development of
..NET-based solutions for the U2 data servers," said Susie Siegesmund,
Director of U2 Data Services for IBM. "This will open up
opportunities for existing U2 customers to create .NET-based interfaces
to their extended-relational data servers and help facilitate
development of new innovative business applications."

mv.NET is a comprehensive solution for accessing MultiValue databases
from within Microsoft's .NET environment. It enables software designers
to combine the power and flexibility of proven MultiValue technology
with the feature rich .NET environment.

IBM UniVerse is an extended relational data server designed for
embedding in a variety of solutions. UniVerse offers configurable
internationalization capabilities, high-end security and encryption
features, standards-based interfaces with Web services support, and
high-availability options used as part of a variety of top-shelf
solutions. UniVerse is a mainstay in a variety of industry solutions
such as automotive, banking, ERP, and insurance.

IBM UniData is a nested relational data server designed for embedding
in a variety of solutions. UniData excels in data server
interoperability, offers robust high-availability, with proven
stability, scalability and performance. UniData is the foundation for
many best-of-breed solutions in such industries as higher education,
finance, and emergency services. UniData offers low total cost of
ownership by remaining easy to administer and maintain.

"The mv.NET products from BlueFinity are currently attracting
considerable attention as they are introduced to markets around the
world. This partnership will help accelerate the introduction of
mv.NET, particularly into IBM's established customer base and
distribution channels," said Pete Loveless, General Manager of
BlueFinity. "The synergy between our respective product lines and
target markets makes this relationship a natural fit."

VERY Interesting !

Don't you just love it when someone quotes four thousand characters to offer
a 20 character response? (This is a 162-character response, so I'm exempt).

ahh you see in the GG front end, and many a nntp client - Show quoted
text - appears instead, and it is up to the user to expand it. Maybe
it is bottom posting gone mad. On many a newsgroup if you just answer
(like this one) with no quoting, you get flamed, I was answering the
whole thing so i thought i would quote the whole thing

I still think it is VERY interesting !

No problem; that's why I like top posting. I can rapidly scan the replies
without crooking my finger on the mouse wheel ninety times just to see a
one-liner. I'd pay _several dollars_ for an OE plug-in that would move
bottom posts to the top!

Have a good one.

I like to middle-post in long unsnipped threads. Kind of a hide
the needle thing.

P.S. Or better yet *change* some of the text and see if anyone notices.

It's nice to see such a hearty affirmation as to the value and quality
of this software. When someone asks "why do I need that when I have
UO or UO.NET" all I can say is "take a look and you'll see". There's
_so_ much more to mv.NET. Apparently IBM agrees.

And for those who ask about how mv.NET compares to PDP.NET, I wrote
the following blog article. (This item is password protected,
qualified developers are welcome to email me for the password.)

So anyway, if you want to get a head start on mv.NET now that it's
been given an official blessing, please email me for information to
get a free download and assistance with the software. Training and
development services are also available.

Patrick, that's VERY funny. (quotes left below) I've been holding my
comments on this google thing only because it just accentuates how
people so easily confuse the interface with the content. Google Aint
Usenet folks! After all of this, is it so hard to understand why
people don't buy feature-rich software when it's in a character
interface? They too confuse the interface with the content.

Since google changed formats again, I've been noticing a lot more
confusion between top/bottom posting, and more quotes than required.
I have always noticed that some googlers tend to completely forego
quoting text because they assume everone else is reading this as
email.

Regards,
Top-Postin' Tony

I like top posting, but after years of abuse on newsgroups such as
alt.html, were you are classed as devil spawn for even mentioning top
posting, i got into the habit of middle and bottom. Top posting is
what you do in the microsoft email world. Even tho most good Usenet
clients allow you to see the thread or hide it anyway....

As a usenet client i find GG quite nice, i rareley use xnews or OE
anymore. I suppose it is just good to have everything i need in
firefox.

- here you are - nicely top posted ..
