We were doing a backup of an AP Pro system and noticed it didn't seem to be backing up any longer. We broke out of the backup . .checked workspace etc and things *appeared* to be ok. It was decided to reboot .. oh my During login we get message (after diagnositics .. ok) Illegal user id .. then prompts for login .. none of our logins work .. enter sysprog and illegal user id BUT if you enter s and enter it prompts for password .. oh my .. no passwords work (not even first letter of password) So .. any ideas how to get into the system? Oh yeah .. it turns out the user had not done a backup for ever <sigh> same old Song and Dance thanks DSig |

try logging on as COLDSTART. There should NEVER be a password. After the system boots, it "automatically" logs on the user COLDSTART to get things going. If this works, be ready to break-and-end. Once you are at tcl, you should be able to do things like LIST USERS and whatnot to get squared away.
