If you cannot get it to boot, then you have a big problem...
IIRC, there was tech note on the RD website showing you how to go into debug
and reset something to do with overflow which would allow a v small amount
of extra overflow to be freed up. Just enough to allow a boot; but that's
about it.
Do you not have a full file save? Do you have your system disks? If you do,
then boot off the system disk and do a restore. Then all possible available
overflow will come back as a contiguous block.
If you have a full file save, load the data files onto a d3/nt. You will
need source code to move the apps because R83 --> AP or d3/* requires a
recompile; but often no code changes.
Good luck.

Have a problem with a R83 Pick Operating sytem running on a PC - Been
using it for about 20 years with few problems - now receiving error
message out of system resources - need to bleed some data from it in
order to make it functional again and then would consider migrating to
something more "modern" - Any one out there who could assist would be
most appreciated since now I can't even get the system to boot up. |
