Mike Preece wrote: And score... and score... and so it goes on. Ho hum. I need a pie. One goal or behind is just one of many. It's not all that important. One goal or behind won't have the same huge effect on the outcome as a goal scored in football (as in the game where players control the ball with their foot). It makes me sick really. Aussies are so bloody ignorant when it comes to football - they're almost as pig ignorant as americans (who generally know or care very little about what goes on outside their own borders - or TV screens). Present company excepted of course. Have you been watching the world cup? Warming to the game just a tad? There's a reason it's the most popular game on earth you know. It's the beautiful game - and that's the truth. Ah, but even the most beautiful player of your so-called beautiful game simply does not /fly/ like an Aussie Rules player. From our point of view, it's a ground-grubbing, two-dimensional game - and that's the truth. <g Luke |

I just thought I'd share with our Aussie friends a headline I saw in the local paper a few days ago. "Warriors skin Bunnies" |
| I do this in a caring way. |
