I just recently started using Accuterm to evaluate it's suitability in our application. I am having a problem with the keys when using the editor. That is "ed filname itemname" The backspace key and the left arrow keys both cause a carriage return. Possible a cr/lf but I'm not sure of that. This is on D3/NT 7,4,1 and Wyse 50 emulation. The keyboard should be sending a control-H as does the left arrow key. Does anyone else have that problem or know of a solution? Looks in Tools-->Settings-->Keyboard-->Keypad Thats the way you change in in Accuterm Standard. I'm not sure about the Lite Version. HTH, Patrick <;=) |

I see where you can do that, but the anomaly only occurs in the editor, Not at TCL or in programs. I'm baffled... ----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Unrestricted-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeeds.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 120,000+ Newsgroups ----= East and West-Coast Server Farms - Total Privacy via Encryption =---- |

Hi Mark - In Wyse emulation, both the left arrow and backspace key send Ctrl+H, the ASCII BS control code by default. I don't think the problem you are having is with the code that AccuTerm sends when you press backspace. You can check this by pressing Ctrl+H instead of pressing the backspace key while you are in ED and see if the same thing happens. If it does, then ED is not responding to the Ctrl+H control code correctly. One thing to check on D3 is the setting of 'back space' in the TERM setting - just type TERM at TCL and see if 'back space' is set to 8. Thanks, Peter Schellenbach pjs-at-asent-dot-com |
