Hi All, Can anyone share their experience with displaying chinese or foreign language characters in Accuterm - either green screen app, or GUI using their gui-izer. We have a big globalization/localization project under way - a coming phase will use UniVerse NLS to display our screens in other languages, say Chinese for our Singapore sales agents. We are wondering if the extended character set will cause a problem for Accuterm. Within a green screen app - you can make a call to Accuterms listbox or msgbox with some control sequences and present your error message to the user in an actual windows msgbox. Accuterm has some really slick stuff, but we're afraid to commit our development effort to it without knowing it won't crater if we're passing it Chinese instead of English. Or, maybe the extended character set in a green screen cell would make unexpected calls to Accuterm or hang the session - just not sure what to expect .... understand the concern? bakerdothughes (AT) removethismouser (DOT) com |
