Default Vista compatibility ?? - 04-23-2007 , 04:20 AM

We have tried to close PDX without to have the message of invalid windows
operation from Vista.

We have tried to modify BDE parmeters, starting PDX with -e param ecc.ecc.
with no success.

We use Vista Business and PDX 11 build. 411.

Corel X3 prof., patch sp2 is not for pdx 11 that remain in build 411.

What can we do now?

Is there anyone that is able to closing pdx in vista with no crash?

Thanks
Delfo

Have you tried disabling the User Account Control (UAC) in Vista?

For info go to:

http://www.petri.co.il/disable_uac_in_windows_vista.htm

Have not tried P11 but am able to run P732 with no problems on Vista.
However, with the UAC turned on, the Sendkeys function is
disabled. A documented MS security measure. With UAC turned off the OS
behaves similar to XP.

Try turning off the UAC just to see....let us know.

I've tried with UAC turned off but still get the error- of course it could
be a combination of different actions needed to resolve.

We also have tried with UAC turned off but still get the error

Vista business + PDX 11 build 411

We think that PDX 11 (wordperfect x3 prof) and Vista are not compatible !!!
We have about 3.000 users with pdx application in win xp sp2...

We hope in a way to resolve this problem.

Thanks

Don't upgrade to Vista?

What, in Vista, do you require that can't wait until SP1? or SP2 next year?

Why double your purchase price to get a non-functional os? It's not just
the Vista cost -- you gotta give your data-entry clerks a top-end gaming
machine, with 2gig RAM and a 64meg graphics card. (And *that*, imho, is the
whole point of the Vista scam.)

Other posts on PNews indicate that the error message is the only
non-solvable problem, and that nothing bad is happenning to trigger this
message. Consider it another stupid useless Windows message, close it, and
move on.

We are professional and we working for pharmaceutical industries.

Is impossible for us to decide witch S.O. is on the PC of ours customer.

Normally ours systems are installed on notebook and i hope that until
september 07 there will be notebook with Xpsp2, but in 2008 ?

It Is also e question of licensing.
If you buy 100 notebook with vista business pre-installed is not possible to
install instead win xp sp2.

And can we tell at our customer that ours application work well only on
xpsp2 ??
