Default System Info Ver11-X3 - 05-24-2006 , 01:31 PM

I am working with a copy of Pdox 11 that came with Corel office X3.
The sytem info button that worked with pdox 10,
now does not work.

From Bertils list of erros I found :
PX0709
About Paradox - System Info dialog
Help | About Paradox - System Info button produces a funny looking screen

I can not read the buttons on this screen ,
but when I clicked the right hand button,
it wrote a bunch of information to a sysinfo.txt file,
so I took a look at that file.
Information written to that file is
different than the information that pdox 10 produces for that button.

Pdox now appears to calculate free space correctly here,
but that means it no longer mirrors the BDE 4GB threshhold problem.
Inspecting this menu on 10 was instant feedback on the 4GB thresshold issue.
That is no longer Valid for two reasons
1 ) this screen is now unreadable
2) correct freespace info is written to file

So, while it seems that something now calculates free space correctly,
it will not eliminate the error, because the error is truly from with the
BDE.
And even though Corel Pdox 11 is now calculating free space
correctly out at this menu, it does not mean the BDE is fixed.

The only reason I went to this menu today,
was because I got an insufficient disk space error again.!@#@$
I am well aware of the fixes for that issue....so no need to post them
again,.
I am simply making people aware of a slight difference I am noticing in
11-X3 from 10.

Previously I eliminated this as issue for myself
but using the msoft application compaitbiliity tool.
In the next week or so ,
I will apply the msoft application compatibility against 11-X3
and then report back.

Robert

According to my notes, the SystemInfo freespace information was fixed in
P11, at least build 300. Fixed bug PX0706.
