Default Removing field filter(s) - 11-29-2006 , 04:00 AM

Hi all,
I have a Paradox v11.0.0.411 form used by multiple users who
apply various field filters from time to rime. Removing the
filters is done easily, but finding the offending field can be
time consuming and frustrating for the next user. Even closing the form
and re-opening it does not clear the filter(s).

Is there a objectpal method for removing these filters or at
least somehow indicating visually under which field a filter is
active?

Any solutions appreciated.

Peter

If you open a form, set a filter, change to design mode, and then save the
form, you will save the filter in the design.

If you deliver your forms so the users cannot turn into design mode, they
cannot save their filters... solves one problem.

Depending on how complex your form is (the number of tables) you can easily
get rid of filters by simply setting a blank filter on each table.

Put the form in design mode, remove all filters, save. Don't ever save
a form with a filter on it. Closing a form is not saving a form.

Use the form filter dialog rather than right-clicking on every field -
much faster when you're not sure which field is filtered.

FWIW,

Liz
