I think there is a large segment of vertical market software that fits the service model (e.g., hosted) very well. |

I think you have to weigh all the factors together, but I think there is a large segment of vertical market software that fits the service model (e.g., hosted) very well. -- Larry DiGiovanni Digico, Inc. Hi, I'm looking for information about the database product PARADOX from Corel. Does anybody know if Corel wants to develop this further or will it die silently? You hardly can find any information about Paradox on Corel's website (which is paradox to me). The newest release of Paradox doesn't even have a number on it (is bundled in WordPerfect Office X3 (Professional Edition only)) I inheritet an application where Paradox was used and I need to assess the risk when I decide not to migrate to another solution. Any help is really appreciated!! Rene |

On my request to COREL about the future of PARADOX I got the following anwer (in German): "Das Programm wird weiter entwickelt. Zur Zeit ist Paradox entweder als Teil von der WordPerfect Office X3 Professional oder als einzelne Lizenz erh=E4ltlich." Translation (as good as it gets :-): "The program [PARADOX] will be developed further. For the time being it is available as part of WordPerfect Office X3 Professional or as single license". I don't know if this is just marketing or the truth. |
