Do not allow the OS to turn off the hard drive EVER.

Same with the network card.

Hmm, sounds familiar. Maybe it's a point for Pdox setup FAQ's. Or
maybe it's an issue I'd forgotten about.

I have used this PC for 2+ years, never seen the issue until maybe a
week ago, and thought I had put away drive sleep issue long ago.
Perhaps the last XP update, last week or so, changed my drive sleep
setting?

That's a big no-no, if XP tweaks the PC setting without user awareness!
~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~ *~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*

At any rate, I will change my drive setting to no-sleep. Thanks!
