Default Paradox 11 Startup - 01-31-2007 , 01:29 PM

Every time I start Pdox11 I get the Welcome screen with a little checkbox
that asks if you want to show this Welcome screen at startup. I uncheck
it, but it always starts with it. In addition, in Tools / Settings /
Developer Preferences I always select Advanced and Show Developer Menus,
but every time I start up it goes back to Beginner and no Developer menus.
Any thoughts?

you're the second person to ask that this week.. in their infinite wisdom,
Corel includes a default process that kills any attempt to configure Paradox
(sigh)

delete PdxRegCl.exe and/or references to it in the registry..

I found that if I delete PdxRegCl.exe and restart Paradox it then
attempts to Register itself again - I've found it best to leave
PdxRegCl.exe in place but to delete its run command from the registry.

Although the other posts were headed "Mousehart", this is my actual name.
I followed this suggestion and it worked perfectly. I've always said that
the easiest solution is frequently the best one. Thanks, and thanks to all
the other responders.

The reason for the multiple occurrences of the question is that I could not
see it after I posted it, so I didn't know if it was being posted. I finally
entered the group a different way.
