I recently had to reinstall all versions of Paradox from 7-10 on my
system. I installed them in order starting with 7 and applied patches
as I went along (rebooting after each step).

Once I was done I discovered that as soon as I try to open a table/
script/etc in Pdox 7 the application just closes and returns to the
windows desktop. This happens if I use the keyboard to make a menu
selection, use the mouse to select a menu option, or use the mouse to
click an icon. No error message, no warning, nothing. It does not
appear to leave lock files in the directory.

I removed all versions and tried to just install version 7. Same
behavior. I have the compatibility set for NT 4 SP 5.

Don't know if it is related, but when I had all the versions installed
I also could not open 2 copies of Pdox 9 even though I defined
different work and private directories for each instance. I can live
with this, but need 7 installed and working.

Desktop system is XP pro, SP 3.

Any help on where to start?
