Hi! I am not able to load Paradox . Message 'unable to initialise BDE -
inuse by another program or network...' I did the usual thing - delete all
net and lck files on drive c: but am not allowed to to delete 1 of each of
them as they are in use!! How can I find out what is going on ? The network
is simply a standalone computer with 2 network printers attached. Running
P10 on XP

Check Task Manager and see if an instance of Paradox (pdxwin32.exe) is still
in memory. If so, EndTask on it.

I'd say check for an instance of Paradox, but if you don't find one and
nothing else looks like the culprit, reboot. If it happens again and you
can't hone in on the culprit, you'll probably want a file monitor running to
see what's what.
