Default multiple uiobjects bound to same table - 12-28-2005 , 01:48 AM

Hello, (and compliments of the season to all)

What are the constraints on binding multiple uiobjects on a form to the
same underlying table?

Sometimes this can be done, othertimes not. Currently I have a tableframe
and a collection of field objects bound to the same table. I want to
collect the field objects into a 1x1 mro but cannot get the mro linked to
the table as it is grayed out. There were no problems linking the field
objects as I created them.

If I start afresh on a new form and get the mro linked, then I cannot link
the tableframe.

Am I doing something verboten, or is there a trick to this?

Thanks.

Anne,
have you tried to add the same underlying table a second time to the
datamodel, name both instance with several alias-names?
Then it should be possible to bind several uiobjects to the several
instances of the same table.
