Default Moving data from MySQL to Paradox - 03-22-2006 , 04:29 AM

Hi all

My company has a website with very large amounts of data. Think in
terms of encyclopaedias and dictionaries. The website is powered by
MySQL as that is the de facto standard for database driven web
applications.
Part of the content of the website is also distributed in a CD-ROM, and
that distribution is powered by Paradox.

The website will be update daily with data, while the CD-ROM
distribution is released once a year, with a subset of the website's
content.
My problem is, how to move data from MySQL to Paradox? What is the
safest way to do that? Are there any tools?

Cheers,
Hieronimus

If you can see the MySQL server from the Paradox client (usually port 3306),
just download and install the MySQL ODBC driver from www.mysql.com , set up
a DSN, then a BDE alias, then query the remote tables, do whatever
translation need to be done on the results and load them into your Paradox
tables.
