Default Memory leak? - 04-14-2006 , 02:42 PM

Howdy all.
Using Pdox 10 (10.0.0.719) SP3? on a Win XP Pro box with 2 Gigs of memory.
Ocassionally, I find that after using Pdox for some time - creating Pdox &
sql queries and debugging - I come across the old win 3.1 type dialog box
when trying to open a table, form or report. When this occurs, often I when
I select the alias location and then the file desire, I get a msg that file
can't be found, etc. Then I get out of Pdox and reenter and the current
dialog screen is displayed.

Currently working on a form that purges records from various tables related
to the association that the user wants to purge. All queries are SQL except
one that I left as a Pdox query as the sql vers seem to go off into
space...Testing this form I sometimes encounter that the buttons have
changed their display style again to a Win 3.1 style - can't describe other
than different from current button styles.

Now, running the same form via Terminal Server, having selected 25
associations to purge instead of my ususal test of 6, the form at the end of
the purge process now displays the original checkboxes as radio buttons and
these are not fully displayed as the right of the circle (2PM to 7PM
position) is missing. In addition, when clicking on the radio button, there
is no selection but the selection counter is incremented as the buttons are
selected or unselected.

Terminal server (win2000, sp4; approx 760 megs ram ) has Pdox 10, ver
10.00.517

Any thoughts & suggestions as to what might be going on and how to fix/work
around?

Thanks,
Rey

On my site, URL in my tagline, there's a document named Erros explained. In
the index, look for RESOURCE LEAKAGE.

Thanks Bertil for info. I'd been to site but did not check further - duh!
Found one entry (PX0693 ObjectPAL - Resource leakage - execute() ) that
might be my problem as I call execute 11 times to copy several tables
instead of using Table copy which is way slower...

I believe Vladimir Menkin has an fsAPI library that will do your stuff without
leakage and quickly.

I looked for his site in some posts, but he doesn't include it in his signature
evidently.

Google, and I'm sure you'll locate quickly.
