Hi I work for a viticulterist in Calif and generate reports in Paradox 11.
I simply want to email these reports to the growers and the program will
not allow me to. I consulted with a programmer who at 100.00 dollars an
hour said he could convert, but would take him upwards of 30 hours (we are
a small company) Is this my only option?

Why can't you "attach" the printed reports to the email messages?

ie; Print to file rather then to the Printer.

You can also "Publish as" a Text file, an RTF file, an HTML file, a
WordPerfect file, or a Word DOC file. The output of anyone of these options
can be attached to an email message.

You need to be a little more clear.... are you wanting to email the reports
automatically and directly from within Paradox 11 or is it OK to Print the
Reports (Publish them), then attach them to emails?

Paradox provides several ways to do this and even more custom options are
presented through solutions provided by users here on the news groups. If
you have a moderate Paradox programming background and you have access to
the Paradox source code for your application, then you should be able to
solve this without requiring an outside programmer. On the other hand, if
you do not have any Paradox programming background, then possibly someone
here could offer their services to you at a reasonable fee.

Carol, I use the print to pdf approach with pdf995 and you can set up
Paradox so that the email addresses are automatically inserted, which
is quite handy if you do a lot of regular posts. It's reasonably easy
to do even if you're not a professional programmer.
