Hi!
For the moment I have Paradox 1.0 and am going to get version 5.0. Is
it preferable to first uninstall the old version and then install the
newer one. Or to overwrite the new over the old one without
uninstalling it first. Or does it matter which one i do?
Please help if you know the answer.

Usually you don't uninstall. I have one test PC with P7, P8, P10 and P11 on
the same machine without problem.

However, P5 is a very, very old version. It's better than 1.0 (which was
really buggy if I remember correctly) but still old.

If you are running a very old PC with Windows 3.1x or Windows 95/98 and very
little memory, then P5 might be a good choice but, but otherwise the
recommendation must be to use some of the later versions.

I think the key question must be why you want to upgrade?

If it's the english (US) version. I remember my norwegian version 1.0 also
translated UIO-property-names into norwegian, so I had to rewrite...

like "[Re] V1agr@". Maybe like "pdx1 to pdx5"...
