Default HELP ...I don't know how to look it up? - 06-12-2006 , 03:13 PM

I am using Pdox 9.
I would like to create a process that can be used in more than one place
within my Application. I want to create the process ONCE and then call it
when needed and only go to the creation locale to correct and/or modify the
process.
I am sure Paradox allows this but I don't know what it's called so I can
look it up in HELP.

can you help :-)

TIA
Jeanette

Jeanette,

Read up on Paradox's "Library" object.

Libraries are like Windows DLL files... you can place custom methods in the
Libraries and several Forms, Scripts and even other Libraries can use the
same code. To correct the code, you only have to correct it once... in the
Library.

Do you have any books for programming in OPAL?

Also try looking in ObjectPAL help for custom method. The programming
section of the Paradox Community site has lots of examples which
include custom methods (though the articles may be about something
else, the theory is there).

FWIW,

Liz
