Default Error on Start-Up - 02-09-2009 , 02:49 AM

I am using Paradox 11, on a Windows XP System.

After a programming error on my part, I now have a message that I
cannot eliminate.

On start-Up, a dialogue box appears, with a suitable warning sound,
and tells me that the programme has tried to access an unnamed file
past it's end.

I have tried a complete uninstall and re-install.

I have searched through registery entries.

I have searched through ini and cfg files but can find nothing that I
might be able to edit to switch the warning off.

In every other respect, the programme works just fine once I click on
the Ok button on the Dialogue.

Does anyone have any ideas about where I should look, or what I should
do eliminate this annoyance?

Many Thanks,

Ross Downes.

Your toolbar files are probably corrupt. They are called pdx_en_run_sbar.cfg
and pdx_en_run_bars.cfg. Just delete them, and you should be fine. I'm
not sure where they are in Pdx11, but in Pdx9, they are in the C:\Program
Files\Corel\WordPerfect Office 2000\programs\config folder.

In Pdx9 Runtime, they are in C:\Program Files\Corel\Paradox 9 Runtime\Programs\config

Funny this happened on one of our XP machines with PDX9-RT today and
after a search I discovered the solution Jim has suggested.. Never
happened before but I guess there is always a first. Actually Bert
Isberg talks about the cfg files in two different folders. Deleting
the ones in C:\Program Files\Corel\Paradox 9 Runtime\Programs\config
did the trick for me. Regards Paul.
