Default Entire Database Export - 03-18-2006 , 12:44 PM

A friend has an application built in Paradox (probably, because
associated tables are Paradox) however the apps designer chose to hide
most of my friends data so that he couldn't export it to another
application. He can get a populated Customer table but associated
tables with historical information are listed, openable but contain
table structure only, no data. For backup purposes the application
exports a .FDB file and/or a .GDB file. How can I read those and get
his data out for him. I currently do not own Paradox. My friend is in a
time pinch to get his data. Anybody got an idea?

Are you sure the application is written in Paradox? Or are the tables just
Paradox format? Many different programming languages could utilize Paradox
based tables.

Idea? Go back to the designer of the application and ask the same question.
Particularly if time is an issue.

Hi,

Those are Firebird tables, not Paradox tables.

as Tony said, many platforms use Paradox tables.. what makes you think
they're Paradox tables, and what makes you think it's a Paradox app?

as Roy said, those are Firebird extensions, which is *not* a Paradox export
option..

I sell old Paradox versions on my web site, at low cost.. but your other
comments make us all think that this isn't a Paradox app, and perhaps not
Paradox tables, either..
