Could not initialize BDE.: Insufficient shared memory available. |
|
I've recently started moving software from my Win2000 box to one running XP Pro. I've just installed Paradox 9, but every time I try and start it, I get the splash screen very briefly and then this error message: Could not initialize BDE.: Insufficient shared memory available. I've been on the net but haven't found anything completely equivalent except that this message can occur if one tries to run two copies of Paradox at once. I'm not. I'd be grateful for advice as to how to get it going. My BDE is version 5 with the files like Idapi32.dll, etc., dated 19/11/1999. -- Malcolm |
